NCDCC Service Day

Dear Sec 2 Cadets,


This Saturday is NCDCC Service Day!!! And we are involved!!


So what is Service Day? The purpose of Service Day is to help raise awareness of fire safety issues and emergency preparedness in the neighbourhood . Please note that this is a compulsory event, whereby the attendance of all the Sec 2 cadets will count towards our UOPA points for the Unit Overall Proficiency Award (UOPA), in which we managed to get Silver last year.


So, unless you have valid reasons, please do not excuse yourself from this event. In order to ensure you get a good rest before this, Friday's training will be cancelled for Sec2 cadets.


Basically, what you have to do on that day, is to:

• go to each household in the neighbourhood
• greet the resident,
• talk about fire safety (using information card and pamphlet)
• conduct a survey

Obviously, we will not be asking you to do this for the whole of Woodlands. Our school is allocated 4 blocks togther with other neighbourhood schools. Details as follows:

• Blks 786B to E
• Bukit View Secondary, Boon Lay Secondary, Evergreen Secondary, Yuhua Secondary

This is the rough timeline for that day.

•  0900 – 1100 Cadets perform Service Day at designated Blocks
• 1100 – 1200 Rest ; Makan followed by Debrief

So, this Saturday, let's all work together to raise the community awareness about fire safety!!
