Hi people,
Mr Su here. This is my 1st visit to our blog. Looks great! But I don’t think every cadet knows the existence of our blog. I only knew about it last week myself. In any case, please help to spread the link to all our cadets, especially the Sec 1s.
Also, I am looking forward to what my Sec 2 blogging team of Dean, Khalida and Sofia (I call them the D.K.S team) can contribute to our blog. I hope you will work as a team and communicate with each other whenever possible so as to make sure each of you knows which portion of the blog you are responsible for (I hope I don’t see the blogskin changing every few hours because of miscommunication). When in doubt, always consult.
Although a Sec 2 blogging team has been assigned to maintain and beautify the blog and perhaps contribute stories of our NCDCC lives together, as their stories will most likely be from the point of view of the Sec 2 cadets, I suggest that each level of cadets has 1 team of bloggers to share their experience on their own NCDCC lives.
Hence, my suggestions are:
1. Each level to have 1 team of bloggers, comprising 2 to 3 cadets. They should be creative and able to contribute anecdotes (short, interesting tales based on actual events that happened in training).
2. As I don’t want this blogging to be a chore and burden to the blogging team, I am suggesting that each team contribute just 1 anecdote (100 words or more, which is about 10 sentences) every 2 months. You can contribute more if you want. This will ensure that our blog remains lively with at least 4 postings every 2 months. It would be better if there are pictures. You can send the anecdotes to Dean and he will help you to post them.
3. In addition, I hope that every blog posting be made in English and not Singlish. I am not trying to be particular here, but I hope we can show that NCDCC cadets are always professional regardless of whether we are on or off the training grounds.
4. Also, more announcements can be made via our blog with regards to the attire and stuff to bring for training, date and time of subsequent trainings etc.
Please try to remember, these are only suggestions. I will leave it up to the CLTs to decide if they want to adopt it.
Lastly, to all my Sec 2 Excel and Character cadets, have fun in Bintan!!!
Regards,
Mr Su
